Head of Corporate Communications Office at Erste & Steiermaerkische Bank Croatia
Dario Gabric, born 1977 in Zagreb, has almost 14 years of relevant PR experience in public relations within one of the leading banking groups in the region of Central and Eastern Europe, thereof more than 11 years as a manager. Together with other team members within the Corporate Communications Office, he’s responsible for the strategic and operational communication management of Erste Bank Croatia (EBC). In addition to that, he’s responsible for the coordination of all PR activities of the EBC’s subsidiaries, both in Croatia and other countries of the region of Western Balkans.
Prior to entering the world of corporate communications in the financial sector, he spent nine years working as a youth handball coach at the Handball Club Zagreb. In the period of 2003-2005 he acted as the Head Coach of the National Team, Boys U-14 (aged under 14), under the umbrella of the Croatian Handball Association. He’s a graduated journalist who obtained his degree from the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb, fluent in English and a little less than fluent in German. He’s married, has two children and spends most of his leisure time with his family and friends.
Banks and Prosperity – Beyond the (In) Visible
Diversity and inclusion have never been more important when it comes to the question of prosperity. Are there ways that banks could contribute to foster society’s prosperity? If so, how does it affect the overall PR strategy and integrated approach based on the mixture of communication tools and channels, being used to promote the prosperity topic and, consequently, the actions taken aiming to achieve these goals? Obviously, the answer is not that clear. This lecture should be viewed as an attempt to address the respective topic, based on real cases and lessons learned out of them.
