Peter N. Thier has longstanding experience as a PR manager. He began his career as an economic journalist at Austria Press Agency and the daily Der Standard. In 1998, he moved to the Bank Austria Creditanstalt Group. He became the spokesperson at Creditanstalt in 2001, and in 2004, after building up the communications department of the Bulgarian company Biochim, press spokesperson of Bank Austria. He moved to Erste Bank in 2007, where he was responsible for internal and external communications. 2012 he became Head of Communications at Austrian Airlines. Thier, who has Bulgarian roots, has wide-ranging experience in dealing with the communications needs of change projects (‘change management’). He graduated communication science at the University of Vienna and has been on the Executive Board of the Public Relations Verband Austria (PRVA) between 2009 and 2015. He has twice been awarded the title of best press spokesperson in Austria by specialist medium Der Journalist and Industriemagazin.
