Marija Jovovic
Public Relations Manager to the Minister of Education
Marija was born on 30 June, 1978 in Podgorica, Montenegro, where she finished elementary and high school. She graduated from the University of Montenegro, Faculty of Law in Podgorica. She obtained a vocation of specialist for a European Union Law from Faculty of Law in Belgrade and the Centre Europeen Universitaire De Nancy France. She obtained a Master’s Degree on 9 July, 2009 at University of Montenegro, Faculty of Political Sciences in Podgorica (thesis: “The Prison System in Montenegro and Public Relations”).
She started her professional career in Electrodistrubution Company in Montenegro in 2003 and after that she worked in the Secretariat for Sports. She began working in public relations as PR manager to the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare in 2005. She also worked as PR manager in Institute for Execution of Criminal Sanction. Marija was then the Head of the Department for General Affairs, Public Relations and Public Procurement in Customs Administration of Montenegro . Her career of PR Manager continues in the Police Directorate of Montenegro and in the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare.
She performed the practice of public relations in The Blaine Group, A Total Communication Agency, Los Angeles-USA.
In addition to formal education she has attended numerous schools, trainings, workshops and seminars of informal education in the organization of governmental, international institutions and NGO’s on the subject of public relations.
She is a lecturer in CEPI PR School of Public Relations at the Faculty of Economics in Montenegro.
