Director of the Council to promote the Russia Olympic Committee
Oleg Rumyantsev graduated with honors from the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute and Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics as well as Russian-Dutch Management Training. In March 1996, he was appointed the Head of the Information Agency „Prime“ and in October 1996 – Deputy Director of the Business News Agency Prime-Tass.
In 1998, Oleg became a PR-adviser to the Minister of Fuel and Energy of the Russian Federation, and in spring of 1999, headed the PR-Office of the Russian Federation Ministry of Fuel and Energy. At the end of 1999 he was appointed Deputy Director of Information and PR at the Investment and Development Agency of the Fuel and Energy Complex (FECIDA, Moscow).
From 2004 to 2009 he worked with the Industrial Investors as the Director of Marketing and PR and later as the Vice-President of Marketing and PR. In 2010, Oleg Rumyantsev was appointed a PR-Advisor to the General Director of JSC „Rostelecom“ and headed the Department of External Communications of the company. In 2013, Oleg Rumyantsev was appointed as the director of the Office of the Program Council to promote the Russian Olympic Committee. In this position he has successfully implemented a federal program to support the Russian Olympic Team during XXII Winter Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014. The program included an information support to the Russian national team and its members, events with fans in 17 cities in Russia, the first specialized online magazine KOMANDA.RF and Fan House of the Russian Olympic team in Sochi Olympic Park.
