PRO PR Globe People Achievement Awards Rules

Official rules governing nominations and People Achievement recognitions.

Set of rules of annual acknowledgement

Preamble

The PRO PR Globe People Achievement Awards were founded after analysis showed that most international public-relations awards recognise projects rather than individuals. The programme was established by Danijel Koletić on 28 January 2012, on the tenth anniversary of the PRO PR Conference. Receiving this recognition requires no financial fee; laureates are selected through the nomination process defined by these rules.

The programme recognises individuals, managers, cities and institutions whose ethical communication work contributes to the profession and their communities.

Articles 1–3

I. General regulations

Article 1

The PRO PR Conference is an international conference for public relations and communication management, organised since 2002 by Apriori World and held at different locations across Southeast Europe under the motto “Networking in motion”. The award ceremony forms part of the conference programme.

Article 2

The annual awards were established for the tenth anniversary of the conference to improve the perception of public-relations professionals.

Article 3

Until 2025 the People Achievement programme was awarded under the PRO PR Globe Awards name. It recognises individuals and cities whose ethical and effective communication management creates positive social and professional impact.

Articles 4–13

II. Categories and nomination

People Achievement recognition

Former recipients nominate between one and five professionals from different countries. Members of the organising committee also participate. Candidates may work in communication management, public relations or closely related fields, regardless of gender, age, religion, nationality or other personal status. Biographies, public work and professional impact are verified before a decision.

Vision City Achievement Award

Recognises a county, city, municipality, town or village in the host country whose strategy, events, identity and integrated communication created positive national, regional or international perception. The decision is based on public data and a committee of three to five members.

Vision Manager Achievement Award

Recognises one or at most two management leaders in the host country whose vision and use of integrated communication maintained or created positive publicity. Eligible leaders include company, institution, sports, cultural, NGO and public-administration executives.

Infigo Achievement Award

An annual recognition awarded directly by the president of the organising committee to an individual whose professional activity made an exceptional contribution to integrated communication, connected teams and projects or positively informed the public.

Transparency in Communication Achievement Award

A special recognition that need not be awarded every year. It is intended for public institutions, not individuals, whose projects establish new standards and provide transparent insight into public-sector operations.

Entrepreneur Achievement Award

A special recognition for entrepreneurs who use communication and public-relations skills to establish useful ideas, build stakeholder support, test and improve solutions, attract investment, develop teams and create a sustainable plan for growth.

Articles 14–16

III. Decision-making bodies

The president appoints a coordinator for the nomination process and may appoint an ambassador to present recognitions when a recipient cannot attend. The organising board consists of people involved in the operational work of the conference and awards. Former recipients may nominate between one and five candidates.

Articles 17–18

IV. Principles, criteria and procedure

The annual People Achievement recognition may be given to a practitioner or academic with more than five years of verifiable work in the profession. The committee considers publishing, public appearances, professional lectures, educational work and participation in communication-management and public-relations projects.

Articles 19–21

V. Other regulations

The nomination process is completed at least five months before the ceremony, whose date is announced at least seven months in advance. Active political or military figures and people whose conduct compromises the profession or human dignity are not eligible. Communication must be fair, honest, accurate and transparent, while respecting confidentiality and avoiding conflicts of interest.

Articles 22–23

VI. Final regulations

Amendments may be proposed once a year, no later than seven months before the ceremony. The rulebook is public; written comments and complaints are considered and answered within thirty working days. The rules were adopted on 28 January 2019.
