Freelance PR Consultant and Public Presentation Skills Trainer
Una Bejtovic, born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is a freelance Public Relations Consultant and Public Presentation Skills Trainer with MA in Democracy and Human Rights in South-East Europe from the University of Sarajevo and the University of Bologna. She holds BA in BH Literature and Bosnian Language from the Faculty of Philosophy from University of Sarajevo. The theme of her Master Thesis was “Political Regimes and Media – Media between Hate Speech and EU standards: Case study Croatia”.
She has begun her media carrier in December 1993 as a 16-year old girl in sieged Sarajevo conquering the media sphere with her unique voice and joyful appearance. Being one of the most wanted radio and TV hosts in Sarajevo she worked for national TV, hosted hundreds of live-shows and concert tours with some of the most popular musicians in BiH.
After years of extensive media experience as a radio and TV host, in 2003 she entered the field of public relations with specific emphasis on culture, human rights and civil society. In March 2006 she was involved in CNN breaking news coverage, while spending one month at CNN International Desk in Atlanta, GA, USA. She worked as a Public Relations Advisor to BH Foreign Affairs Minister and was involved in the launch and promotion of numerous projects (i.e. Srebrenica-Mapping Genocide, FAMA Virtual Collection – Museum of Siege of Sarajevo, International Theatre Festival MES). In 2012 only she organized and moderated 40 press conferences and acted as moderator for more than 20 various public events and was a Public Relations Manager to 6 festivals. She is a human rights activist, providing her media expertise in various socially engaged projects. Ms. Bejtovic believes that Public Relations could contribute to a better understanding of the post-conflict divided societies and help us to be better persons.
