A Warm Welcome to Ljubljana from Petra Stušek

As the host city of the 24th PRO PR Conference, Ljubljana is preparing to welcome communication professionals from around the world. We are honoured to share a special welcome message from M.Sc. Petra Stušek, Managing Director of Ljubljana Tourism, who invites participants to discover not only the conference, but also the unique spirit, creativity and hospitality of Slovenia’s capital.

I am delighted to welcome the international PR community to Ljubljana for the PRO PR Conference 2027. I began my career in communications at Ljubljana Tourism, so welcoming you feels less like welcoming guests and more like welcoming colleagues to our city.

Beyond the conference programme, I encourage you to experience Ljubljana at your own pace. Shaped by Jože Plečnik’s human-centred architectural vision, the city is compact, green and easy to explore on foot or by bike. Stroll along the Ljubljanica River or discover the city from the water, explore its green spaces, wander through the streets and squares beyond the Old Town, or simply find a café and watch city life unfold.

Recently named Europe’s Best Creative City Destination 2026, Ljubljana is a place where rich cultural heritage meets a vibrant contemporary creative scene. You can experience this creative spirit first-hand through hands-on workshops with masters of traditional crafts, as well as visits to the studios and ateliers of contemporary designers, artists and makers, where they share their work and creative process. That same creative spirit also shapes Ljubljana’s gastronomy, where innovation continues to draw inspiration from local traditions.
